TG SET-2025 NOTIFICATION
On behalf of the Telangana State, Osmania University will conduct the TG-SET, 2025 examination for Eligibility as Assistant Professor / Lecturer in the month of 2nd Week of December, 2025. The Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The online application form will be made available to the candidates from 10-10-2025.

The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG SET) is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana State Government. The exam assesses the eligibility of candidates for the role of Assistant Professors in various subjects. Clearing this exam is a significant step for candidates aspiring to pursue a teaching career in higher education.

CONDITIONS of ELIGIBILITY:

  1. a. The candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree (i.e., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only)) are eligible to apply. However, in case of the Backward Classes (BC)/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree is eligible for this Test.
  2. b. The candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course or the candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for eligibility for Assistant Professor / Lecturer after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of BC/SC/ST/PwD (Persons with Disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
  3. c. Candidates belonging to third gender, in other words, transgender would be eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for TS-SET examination as are available to SC/ST/ PwD categories.
  4. d.The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
  5. e.Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only.

  6. f. See the list of Subjects in Point No. 12 in which TS-SET examination is being conducted.
  7. g. Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor print out of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to TS-SET office. However the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. Also, the candidates must show the original certificates at the stage of certificate verification. This is applicable for only the qualified candidates. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the TS-SET at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action.
  8. h. Candidates having Post-Graduate Diploma awarded by Indian University/ Institute or Foreign Degree/Diploma awarded by the Foreign University/ Institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their Degree /Diploma with Master’s Degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. Syllabus and Question Paper for TS-SET:

  1. As per the UGC guidelines the CSIR/UGC-NET syllabus has been adopted for the conduct of TG-SET-2025 for all the 29 subjects for which accreditation is given by UGC.

SCHEME OF TEST

  1. Paper-I:
    shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, Comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
  2. Paper-II:
    shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
  3. All the questions of Paper-II will be compulsory, covering entire syllabi

Mode of Payment

  1. i) The candidates may pay the examination fee either by Credit Card / Debit Card/UPI/Net Banking, the additional processing charges as applicable will also be debited from the Credit Card /Debit Card/UPI/ Net Banking of the candidate.The additional processing charges as applicable will also be debited from the Credit Card /Debit Card/UPI/ Net Banking of the candidate.
  2. ii) After filling all the details of the online application form for TS-SET examination, the candidate will have the option to select the mode of payment of examination fee either by Credit Card /Debit Card/UPI/Net Banking during the online filling of the application form indicating their details therein.
  3. iii) Please note that Fee submitted by any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc. will not be accepted.

  4. iv) Fee once paid WILL NOT be refunded/adjusted under any circumstances.

Procedure & Criteria for declaration of Result :

  1. This will comprise of following steps:
  2. Step-I: The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers of TS-SET.
  3. Step-II: The total slots shall be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of Government of Telangana.

NOTE:

  1. Candidates from outside of Telangana State will be considered as non-local and unreserved category.
  2. i.A reservation of 331/3% of slots in favour of women candidates in each subject and each category. The above reservation shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category exceed 331/3%. If sufficient number of women candidates are not available in the respective categories, those slots shall be diverted to the men candidates of the same category.
  3. ii. There shall be horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabled candidates in each category (OC/BC/SC/ST/Transgender) in each subject to the extent of 3%. (As Per G.O. MS No. 339, Dated15-12-1999)
  4. Step-III: In order to be considered for ‘Eligibility for Assistant Professor/ Lecturer the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories (viz., SC, ST, BC, & PwD) and Transgender.
  5. Step-IV: The number of candidates to be declared qualified in any subject for a particular category is derived as per the following methodology illustrated below:
  1. The aggregate percentage of the two papers corresponding to the number of slots arrived at, shall determine the qualifying cut-off for Eligibility for Assistant Professor ‘in ‘Economics’ for the SC category.
  2. Similar yardstick shall be employed for deriving the subject-wise qualifying cut-offs for all categories.
  3. It may be noted that the above qualifying criteria decide by TS-SET is final and binding.

PROVISIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITY (INCLUDING VISUALLY CHALLENGED CANDIDATES) HAVING 40% OR MORE DISABILITY:

  1. i)Twenty minutes compensatory time shall be provided for Paper – I and forty minutes for Paper – II separately.
  2. ii) The persons with minimum 40% Disability (Physically Challenged) candidates who are not in a position to write in their own hand-writing can avail the services of scribe by making prior request (at least two weeks before the date of TS-SET) in writing to the concerned Centre Superintendent. Compensatory time and facility of scribe would not be provided to other Persons with less than 40% disability (Physically Challenged) candidates.
  3. iii) The candidates with disability should fill in the type of disability correctly in the online application form of TG-SET-2025. The types of disabilities are mentioned as below:
  4. a) blindness and low vision
    b) deaf and hard of hearing
    c) locomotors disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular
    d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness
    e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities.

AISSEE-2026 NOTIFICATION
AISSEE-2026 for the Academic Year (AY) 2026-27, covers admission to Classes VI and IX of Sainik Schools and Class VI for all 69 New Sainik Schools and Class IX of those approved 19 New Sainik Schools, which have progressed to Class IX in AY 2026-27.The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is a pivotal examination for students seeking admission to Sainik Schools across India. The AISSEE-2026 notification has just been released, and it’s time for aspiring candidates and their parents to gear up for an exciting journey ahead.

Candidates can apply for AISSEE-2026 “Online” only on the website https://exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/. The Application Form other than online mode will not be accepted.
Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Application form is common for admission to both Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools. Fee as stated above is the same whether a candidate applies for Sainik Schools/approved New Sainik Schools or both.
If a candidate submits more than one Application Form for admission at the same level (either class VI or Class IX), all his/her Application Forms shall summarily be rejected.

Online Submission of Application Forms: 10.10.2025 to 30.10.2025(Upto 05:00 PM)
Last Date of Successful Transaction of Fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking: 31.10.2025 (Upto 11:50 PM)
Fee Payable by candidates in INR: General/Wards of Defence personnel and ex-servicemen/ OBC (NCL)* as per central list: Rs.850
Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes: Rs.700
Correction of details filled in application Form on Website only: 02.11.2025 to 04.11.2025
Downloading of Admit Cards from NTA website: Will be announced on the NTA website later
Date of Examination: In the month of January, 2026
Duration of Examination: Exam for admission to Class VI: 150 minutes
Exam for admission to Class IX: 180 minutes
Timings of Examination: Exam for admission to Class VI: 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm
Exam for admission to Class IX: 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm
Exam Centre: As indicated in the admit card
Display of scanned OMR answer sheets, Question Paper Sets and answer keys: Will be announced on NTA website later
Declaration of results: Will be declared within 06 weeks after exam

Age: Between 10-12 years of age, as on 31.03.2026. Should be born between 01.04.2014 and 31.03.2016 (Both days inclusive)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a Test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Award of Junior Research Fellowship’ , ‘Appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and ‘Admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The UGC NET is a national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Clearing this examination is a significant milestone for those looking to pursue a career in academia.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC-NET December-2025 for 85 Subjects in computer Based Test(CNT) mode.
