TG DEECET-2026 NOTIFICATION
The TG DEECET is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Department of School Education, Telangana. It is aimed at selecting candidates for admission into 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) courses offered by various institutions across the state. If you aspire to become a teacher in elementary education, clearing this exam is the first step on your journey.

Candidates can apply for D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) and D.P.S.E. (Diploma in Pre-School Education) through TGDEECET-2026 through computer-based test (online mode) for admission into two-year course in Govt. DIETs / Private un-aided Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (including Minority and Non- Minority) in the State of Telangana for the Batch 2026-2028. For further details, the candidates are requested to visit https://deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in. The information bulletin can be downloaded from 05.03.2026 onwards and online applications can be submitted from 15.03.2026 to 15.04.2026.

Eligibility:
Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
The students who appear intermediate / or its equivalent examination, as decided by the DEECET Committee during February /March 2026 are also eligible for TG DEECET -2026 online examination.

Educational Qualifications:
The candidates should have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the Intermediate Examination(Qualifying Exam)for appearing at the TG DEECET-2026. The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 45%.

Age:
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1st September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D.El.Ed /D.P.S.E. Programme.

The TG DEECET shall be conducted ‘ONLINE’ in all the erstwhile 10 districts, on 21.05.2026 and 22.05.2026.

Method of admission:
TG DEECET is a Common Entrance Test for admission into both D.El.Ed and D.P.S.E Programmes.

D.EI.Ed is offered in three media i.e. Telugu, English and Urdu. The candidates opting for any particular medium (Telugu /English / Urdu) shall exercise their option in the online application for appearing for TG DEECET-2026 in that particular Medium Only.

D.P.S.E. Programme is offered only in English Medium. Therefore, candidates appearing for TG DEECET-2026 in English Medium will only have option to seek admission in D.P.S.E. along with D.El.Ed.

Rule of reservation:
Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time.

The TGDEECET-2026 shall be conducted ‘ONLINE’ in the 10 erstwhile districts on 21.05.2026 and 22.05.2026. Candidates may give the preferential order of the centers.

TG EDCET-2026 NOTIFICATION

Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG Ed.CET – 2026) through Computer Based Test (CBT) for the year 2026 will be conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal in accordance with G.Os issued time-to-time by Govt. of Telangana for admission into B.Ed (Two years) regular course in the Colleges of Education in Telangana State for the academic year 2026-2027. Eligible candidates should submit their application ONLINE mode only from 23/02/2026. Application registration fee of Rs. 750/- (Rs.550/- for SC/ST/ PH) should be paid at TG Online Centres in Telangana or through Payment Gateway. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR TG Ed.CET-2026

Candidate’s satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for TG Ed.CET-2026.

i. The candidate should have Indian Nationality.

ii. The candidate should satisfy “Local” / “Non-Local” status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974, as subsequently amended.

iii. Educational Qualifications:

Candidate should have passed or appeared:

a) In any Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A (Oriental Languages), BBA or in the Masters Degree, securing at least 50% aggregate marks.

b) Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with 50% aggregate marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.

c) However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories viz., SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

d) Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of Counseling for Admission

e) Candidates possessing MBBS/BSC (AG)/BSC (Horticulture)/BSC (Architecture)/ BVSC/BHMT/ B.Pharm and such other professional and job oriented degree courses viz., LL.B are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.

f) Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken Under Graduate study are not eligible for admission.

vi. Age Limit:

The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR TG Ed.CET-2026

The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choices) examination. Each question carries one mark and test is conducted for total 150 marks.

Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours of time.

General English-20 Marks

General Knowledge &Educational Issues-30 Marks

Computer Awareness-20 Marks
