Courses Offered in 6-Year Integrated B.Tech. Program

The 6-Year Integrated Engineering Course is divided into two categories:

1. i.Pre University Course (2 years): M.P.C course will be offered with following subjects:
   1. Mathematics
   2. Physics
   3. Chemistry
   4. English
   5. Telugu/Sanskrit (Sanskrit will be offered for non Telugu students those who have not studied second language as Telugu)
   6. Information Technology
   7. Environmental Science
2. ii. B.Tech. (4 years): The following Engineering streams will be offered:
   a. Chemical Engineering
   b. Civil Engineering
   c. Computer Science & Engineering
   d. Electronics & Communications Engineering
   e. Electrical & Electronics Engineering
   f. Mechanical Engineering
   g. Metallurgical & Materials Engineering

How to Apply for Admission into RGUKT:

The process of submitting application comprises of the following steps:

1. i. Pay the application fee and get the application ID after submitting basic details.
2. ii. Fill the online application form.
3. iii. Print application form.
4. iv. Only PH/CAP/NCC/Sports applicants have to post their online printed application forms along with following certificates:
   a. The receipt issued by the TS Online services.
   b. Physically Challenged (PH) certificate (see Annexure-VI).
   c. Children of Armed Forces (CAP) certificate (see Annexure-VII).
   d. The NCC certificate (see Annexure- VIII).
   e. Sports certificate(s) at the level of inter-district and above (see Annexure-VIII).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates of Telangana State, who applied for the unfilled seats of Global category, are also considered under the General category of admission.

1. i. The application fee should be paid in cash at TS Online service center, for which the service center will issue a receipt.
2. ii. An additional amount of Rs. 25.00 per application should be paid as a service charge to the TS Online Centre.
3. iii. If any candidate submits his/her application for more than once, in such case, the latest application is considered for the selection process.
4. iv. Immediately after submitting the application through online, the PH/CAP/NCC/Sports applicants should send the print-out of online application duly signed by the candidate along with the relevant certificates to the following address by Speed Post/Registered Post to reach on or before 27-06-2023.

   The candidates should write ‘Application for UG Admissions-2023, RGUKT, Basar’ on the top of the envelope.

Admission Procedure:

1. Admissions to the first year of Integrated B. Tech. Program for the year 2023-24 will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject in 10th class, and by following the statutory reservations of the state. A deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government for the year 2023-24 underStatute 13 (3) shall be added to the 10th class GPA of those applicants who studied in non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Schools, with an objective of providing weightage to the socio economically challenged students in the admission process.
2. At RGUKT, Basar, admissions to 85% of the total available seats shall be reserved for the Local Candidates (Telangana State) and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved (these seats will be filled with both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students based on their merit) as specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014.

Eligibility for Admission:

1. i.Candidates should have passed SSC (10th Class) or any other equivalent examinations in the first attempt, recognized by the State Governments of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh in the Year 2023.
2. ii. Candidates whose age is above 18 years as on 31.12.2023, (21 years in case of students under the SC/ST categories) are not eligible to apply.
3. iii. International students having Indian Citizenship / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

Rule of Reservation:

1. i.The admissions to 85% of the total available seats shall be reserved for the Local Candidates and the remaining15%of the seats shall be un-reserved as specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D and in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014 (see Annexure-I).
2. ii.The rules of reservation for different categories are as under in both local and unreserved categories, subject to any changes and amendments made by the Government of Telangana State.
   a. SC - 15%, BC-A - 7%, BC-B - 10%, BC-C - 1%, BC-D - 7%, BC-E - 4%
   b. ST Reservation: ST Reservation will be applicable as per G.O.Ms.No.33 issued by the Government.of Telangana.
   c. EWS Reservation: EWS Reservation will be applicable as per G.O.Ms.No.65 issued by the Government.of Telangana (Annexure-IX).
   d. Physically Challenged (PH) -3% (VH-1%, HI-1% & OH-1%), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP) - 2%, NCC -1% and Sports - 0.5%.
   e. A horizontal reservation of 33% (1/3 %) of seats in favor of girl candidates in each category (OC/SC/ST/BC/Special categories) shall be ensured, wherever girl candidates are available.
   f. In case of PH candidates, certificates issued by the State Medical Board alone are acceptable. For Sports and CAP categories, certificates issued by the respective District Boards are considered. The aforementioned are applicable at the Statelevel. Model proformas for certificates are given for all the above categories in respective Annexures.
   g. Since the courses offered at this University are technical in nature, an appropriate physical fitness is required. The RGUKT reserves the right of rejecting the application of any such candidates who are declared by the medical experts as physically unfit to pursue the course on the day of counseling.

Selection Method:

1. i. Admissions will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject in 10th class by following the statutory reservations and as per the provisions of Presidential Order, 1974.A deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government under Statute 13 (3), shall be added to the normalized score of applicants from non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Schools for selection, with an objective of providing weightage to help the students from socially, economically deprived sections of the society for admissions.
   Note: As specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014, 15% of the total seats shall be reserved for both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students and selection to these 15%seats shall be done on merit basis.
2. ii. In case of a tie in score, it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that sequence:
   a. Higher grade in Mathematics
   b. Higher grade in General Science
   c. Higher grade in English
   d. Higher grade in Social Studies
   e. Higher grade in 1st Language
   f. Older candidate as per the Date of Birthv g. Lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number

Intimation to Selected Candidates:

1. The list of candidates selected for counseling will be displayed on the University website www.rgukt.ac.in.

Counseling:

1. i. The candidates selected for the counseling shall report in person to the Coordinator, UG Admissions RGUKT-Basar, Nirmal District, Telangana State for the verification of their original certificates / documents and any details provided by the applicants in the application form. ii. Counseling and selection for admission of the candidates belonging to the Special Categories like Physically Challenged (PH), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), NCC and Sports will be conducted In allotted dates of counseling at RGUKT- Basar.

Admission:

1. i. Admission to the first year of 6-Year Integrated Engineering Programme in the University will be granted only after satisfactory verification and scrutiny of the details mentioned in the application form against the original certificates / documents submitted by the candidate at the time of counseling. Mere selection for counseling and verification of certificates / documents will not guarantee admission / seat.
2. ii. Allotment of seat is based on data provided by the applicants and up on the verification of documents/ certificates.
3. iii. Coordinator, UG Admissions-2023 has every right to cancel admission if any discrepancies are found during the procedure of certificate verifications and data submitted by the applicant.

Annual Fee:

1. i. The tuition fee for the candidates who studied in the schools of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh States is Rs.37,000/- per annum (It includes Rs.500/- examination fee per semester). In addition to this, every student has to pay a registration fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) and a refundable caution deposit of Rs.2,000 (by all)and medical insurance of Rs. 700/- approximately for first two years (by all), that is a total of Rs.3,700/- (Rs 3,200/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the time of admission.
2. ii. Students who are eligible for fee-reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the respective State Governments need not pay the tuition fee (as per the latest Govt. rules eligible for the fee-reimbursement).

Admission of Students from other States and International Students:

1. i. Supernumerary seats to the extent of 5% are available under the Global Category for the students belonging to States other than Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including the Children of Indians (all the States) working in Gulf Countries. Admission is given on the basis of merit in the marks / grades obtained in the 10th standard examination. Those candidates who secured a minimum of 70% of marks alone are eligible for admissions.
   Note: Unfilled seats of Global Category (Left over seats of other state candidates) will be allocated to the local candidates on merit basis (only for the TS) by paying Rs.1,37,000/- per annum.
2. ii. The tuition fee for the students from other states and children of Indians working in Gulf Countries is Rs.1,37,000/- per annum which includes tuition, examination, hostel, and mess fees etc.,
3. iii. The 2% supernumerary seats are available for International/ NRI students.
4. iv. The tuition fee for International/NRI students is Rs.3,01,000/- per annum.
5. v. Applicants from the other states, children of Indians working in Gulf Countries,International and NRI students seeking admission at RGUKT–Basar shall apply through www.rgukt.ac.in only.
6. vi. The application fee for children of Indians working in Gulf Countries (Global) is Rs.1500/-.
7. vii. Applicants from International and NRI should pay the application fee through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Director, RGUKT, Basar’ and payable at any nationalized bank.
8. viii. Lateral Entry Admissions into 4-Year B.Tech Program is also available for International / NRI students. Admission will be on the basis of merit in the marks/grades obtained in the 12th standard examination. Those candidates who secured a minimum of 70% of marks are eligible for admission.
9. ix. Branch allocation for the Lateral Entry admissions into 4-Year B.Tech Program will be done for the branches mentioned (see 9(b)) and allocation is done purely on basis of merit as per preferences opted by the student and subject to availability of seats.
