ELIGIBILITY

  1. The students (only Boys) who appeared/passed for class 5 examination from any recognised school for the academic year 2022-23 are eligible to write the entrance test and appear in Physical and Medical Screening.
  2. The annual income of the parent should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- per annum (for Urban students) and Rs.1,50,000/- (for Rural students) as certified by the MRO.
  3. The students from Telugu / English medium are eligible for this entrance test.
  4. The age of the students of all communities (SC,SC – CC, ST, BC, Min, OC/EBC) shall not exceed 11 years as on 01.04.2023, i.e they should have been born between 01.04.2012 & 31.03.2014.
  5. The admission for the selected students would be confirmed only after submitting following certificates in original along with one set of photocopies at the time of admission.
    (a) Caste Certificate

    (c) TC/Record Sheet (Class-V)
    (d) Study Certificate (Class-V)
    (e) Marks Sheet/Progress Card (Class-V)
    (f) Aadhar Card

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. The applicant must submit his / her application only through ONLINE by visiting website www.tswreis.ac.in
  2. Candidates have to pay registration fee of Rs.200/- for submission of application through ONLINE from any Internet centre through NET banking / Credit Card / Debit Card.
  3. Before filling the application through online the candidate has to read the information/ prospectus already uploaded in the website www.tswreis.ac.in
    *ADVICE: They can prepare a hard copy first and then fill online to avoid mistakes].
  4. Candidates should upload their passport size photo and signature in *.jpg or *.jpeg formats within size of 100 kb.
  5. The candidates shall be considered for admission based on their merit in the caste concerned.
  6. The Candidates are advised to download their Hall tickets immediately after uploading the online application to appear in written and Physical & Medical Tests .

SELECTION PROCESS

  1. The selection process broadly consists of following three (3) types of tests.
  2. I. STAGE-1 - State Level Entrance Examination – 100 Marks
  3. II. STAGE-II - Screening Tests – 150 Marks (Physical, Sainik School Aptitude (Written & Descriptive) & Communication Skill Tests)
  4. III. Medical Fitness Test.

STATE LEVEL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION – 100 MARKS

The written examination will consist of 100 multiple answer questions (BilingualEnglish & Telugu) to beanswered in 2 hours and 30 minutes.These questions will be based on Class-V standard textbooks. To qualify the Sainik school examination, students need to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each subject and a minimum of 40% aggregate marks.

Candidates qualifying in the written tests will be called for screening tests (Physical, Sainik School aptitude & Communication Skills) and medical tests in 1:10 ratio in the order of merit as per the merit in the category wise ranking. Incase sufficient number of candidate are not found fit in the first round of screening tests, more candidates may be called in the second round of screening tests in the order of merit. Cut off percentage of 40 may be either raised or lowered based on the performance of the candidates in the written examination.

PHYSICAL TESTS – 25 MARKS

  1. The following tests will be conducted:-
    (a) Running 2 KM within 11 minutes
    (b) Sit ups 15
    (c) Standing Broad Jump 4 Ft
    (d) 5 Meter Shuttle 12 in 1 Minute
    (e) 100 meter Sprint 18 Sec

    A candidate is awarded 2 marks for passing in each test and zero marks for failing in a test. A candidate has to score 6 marks to be qualified in physical tests. A candidate scoring less than 6 marks in physical tests is deemed to be ‘UNFIT’.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS TEST (ORAL) – 25 MARKS:

  1. All candidates appearing for the screening will be for communication skills (oral)

Medical Fitness Tests:

  1. All candidates before admission to the Sainik School will be subjected to a medical examination by a Board consisting of military / civil doctors. The standard of health and medical fitness would be based on the standards as laid down for the NDA Examination with minor modification in view of the tender age of the boys.
  2. The decision of the Medical Board will be final.

The Final Merit

The final merit will be prepared for only those candidates who are found medically fit based on weightage of all the tests as under:-
  1. (a) Entrance Exam - 100
    (b) Physical Fitness - 25
    (c) Sainik School Aptitude test - 100
    (d) Communication Skills - 25
    (d) Total - 250
